Terms of Use

DictaCoach is intended for children ages 7 and older, with active parental or guardian supervision. Parents and guardians are responsible for reviewing these terms, supervising their child's use of the app, and ensuring the app is appropriate for their child.

• The app is designed for ages 7–11 as an educational spelling and dictation practice tool
• Children should use the app under adult guidance
• By allowing a child to use the app, you confirm you are a parent or legal guardian (or have their authorization) and accept these terms on their behalf

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DictaCoach on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, in accordance with these terms and the App Store Terms of Use.

You agree to use DictaCoach responsibly and only for its intended educational purpose.

• Do not misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it, or interfere with its operation
• Parents are responsible for content they add (such as word lists) and for supervising practice sessions
• You are responsible for keeping your device and Apple ID secure
• Do not use the app in any way that violates applicable law

Word lists, practice results, and progress data you or your child create in the app belong to you. That content is stored on your device (and, if you later enable optional Apple sync features, under your Apple account controls). You are responsible for backing up your device if you wish to retain that data.

DictaCoach may offer free features and optional paid subscriptions or one-time purchases (Premium).

• All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we do not charge your card directly
• Prices, free trials (if any), and billing periods are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions)
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies

DictaCoach is a practice aid and does not replace teaching, tutoring, or school instruction. Spelling feedback and OCR results may occasionally be imperfect. Always use your own judgment when reviewing your child's progress.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DictaCoach and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the app shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app or subscription in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $10. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We may update the app, features, pricing presentation, or these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and cancel any subscription through Apple.
